The Beginning
He was meant to be
an architect.
Growing up in Ghana, Ebenezer was intent on following his father's footsteps. In the precision of small-scale building, he found his calling.
The Education
Florence. Portland.
Rochester.
In Florence, he studied stone-setting; in Portland, metalsmithing; and at RIT, industrial design. Architecture finally met the intimacy of jewelry.

In 2017, he founded Akakpo & Co. in Portland, Maine — a global design house offering jewelry, apparel, and objects for the home. Every piece is made with one purpose: to remind you that everything is going to be okay.

Stone-setting & the goldsmith's art
Studies at Le Arti Orafe, learning stone-setting, jewelry design, and the discipline of the Italian goldsmith.
Portland, Maine
Metalsmithing at Maine College of Art
Deepens the craft at MECA&D, studying metalsmithing and jewelry making with rigorous hands-on training.
Rochester, NY
Industrial Design at RIT
Studies industrial design at Rochester Institute of Technology — where precision meets concept and the architectural becomes personal.
